The proceedings of the Cantabrian Capercaillie LIFE+ project aim to halt the decline of this subspecies endemic to the Iberian Peninsula and promote recovery. Actions take place between October 2010 and December 2016 in the 16 Special Protection Areas for birds listed, with the advice of scientists and technical experts in different subjects.
